About the role

Ucanly Infotech is looking for a Full Stack Development Intern to join our remote team and work on real, production features across our AI powered career platform. You'll build alongside experienced engineers on our web app, APIs, and AI integrated tools, shipping code that real users interact with from day one. This is a hands on internship for someone who wants to learn fast, write clean code, and understand how a startup builds and ships product.

Ucanly is an AI powered career platform helping students and early professionals plan their career path with an AI mentor, personalized learning roadmaps, hire readiness scoring, curated courses, a jobs board, and freelance and consulting opportunities. We're a small, fast moving team based in Bengaluru building tools we wish we'd had when we started our own careers.

What you'll be doing

Build and maintain features across our frontend and backend using our existing tech stack
Write clean
readable
and well tested code following existing project conventions
Work with REST APIs and integrate third party services where needed
Debug and fix bugs reported by the team or found through testing
Collaborate with the founding team on product decisions and technical tradeoffs
Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback quickly
Help maintain and improve the platform's JSON based content and course import systems
Contribute to documentation for features you build
Take ownership of small features end to end
from planning to deployment
Communicate progress and blockers proactively in daily standups

What we're looking for

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science
IT
or a related field
Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern frontend framework (React preferred)
Basic understanding of backend concepts (APIs
databases
authentication)
Familiarity with Git and collaborative version control workflows
Ability to write clean
maintainable code and debug independently
Strong communication skills and comfort working in a fully remote
async first team
Genuine curiosity about AI tools and how they're applied in real products
Self motivated with the ability to manage time and priorities without close supervision
Prior personal projects
hackathon experience
or open source contributions are a plus
