About the role
Ucanly for Education is an AI career platform that helps Indian students and freshers get hired. Learners use it to follow a personalised Career Roadmap, take structured courses, talk to the AI Mentor, score their resume in Resume Lab, track their Hire Readiness Score, and apply to jobs and internships in one click.
As a Frontend Engineer Intern, you will build the screens students use for all of this. The web platform is built with Next.js and React. You will work from designs, turn them into working components, and connect them to backend APIs.
What you will work on
- The student dashboard, including roadmap progress, the Hire Readiness Score, and course progress
- The course player and lesson pages
- Resume Lab and AI Mentor interfaces, including streaming chat responses and loading states
- The jobs and internships portal, including job listings, filters, and the one-click apply flow
- Responsive layouts that work well on budget Android phones and slow mobile networks, which is how many students access Ucanly
- Accessibility and performance fixes across the platform
How you will work
Ucanly is a small team, and everyone owns their work end to end. You will pick up real tickets, open pull requests, respond to review comments, and test your changes before they are merged. Your work will reach students within days of being written. Ask questions early when you are stuck.

What you'll be doing
- Build and maintain React and Next.js components from design files, matching layout, spacing, and behaviour
- Integrate screens with backend APIs, handling loading, empty, and error states properly
- Build interfaces for AI features such as the AI Mentor chat and Resume Lab feedback
- Make pages responsive and usable on small screens and slow network connections
- Fix bugs reported by the team or by students, and verify the fix before closing the ticket
- Write basic component tests for the features you build
- Take part in code review, both receiving feedback and reading other people's pull requests
What we're looking for
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with React from coursework, personal projects, or a previous internship
- Understanding of how a browser fetches data from an API and renders it
- Familiarity with Git and pull-request based workflows
- Able to work from the Ucanly office in BTM Layout, Bengaluru
- Ability to explain your own code clearly in writing
