About the role
Ucanly for Education is an AI career platform that helps Indian students and freshers get hired. Students use it to follow a personalised Career Roadmap, take structured courses, get help from the AI Mentor, improve their resume in Resume Lab, track their Hire Readiness Score, and apply to jobs and internships.
For many of these students, a phone is the main or only device they use. As a Mobile App Developer, you will build Ucanly's mobile experience so that students can do all of this well on budget Android phones and unreliable networks.
What you will work on
- Mobile screens for the dashboard, roadmap, courses, and lesson playback
- The AI Mentor chat and Resume Lab on mobile
- Job and internship browsing, alerts, and one-click applications
- Push notifications for roadmap milestones, course reminders, and new job matches
- Offline support for course content where the network is unreliable
- App performance: startup time, memory usage, and smooth scrolling on low-end devices
- Releases to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store
How you will work
Ucanly is a small team, and you will own the mobile work end to end. You will work with designers and backend developers, test on real devices before release, and look into crash reports and user reviews to find and fix problems.
Who this is for
Freshers or developers with up to two years of experience who have fully built, and ideally published, a mobile app using React Native or Flutter.

What you'll be doing
- Build mobile app screens and features in React Native or Flutter from design files
- Integrate the app with Ucanly's backend APIs, push notifications, and analytics
- Build a smooth AI Mentor chat experience on mobile, including streaming responses
- Implement offline storage for course content that works on slow or intermittent networks
- Profile and improve app performance on low-end Android devices
- Investigate crash reports and user reviews, reproduce issues, and ship fixes
- Prepare and publish releases to the Play Store and App Store
What we're looking for
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Hands-on experience with React Native (JavaScript/TypeScript) or Flutter (Dart)
- Understanding of mobile app state management, navigation, and local storage
- Experience calling REST APIs from a mobile app and handling network errors
- At least one mobile app you can walk through in detail, published or on GitHub
- Familiarity with Git and pull-request based workflows
- Able to work from the Ucanly office in BTM Layout, Bengaluru
