Ucanly for Education is an AI career platform that helps Indian students and freshers get hired. Ucanly measures itself by student outcomes: whether students who follow their roadmap, finish courses, and improve their Hire Readiness Score actually go on to get interviews and offers.
As a Data Analyst, you will help the product, content, and growth teams understand that journey. Typical questions include: where do students drop off between sign-up and their first course, which roadmap milestones are most often skipped, how Resume Lab scores change over time, which job postings get the most applications, and whether students with higher readiness scores are shortlisted more often.
What you will work on
- Dashboards for the student journey: sign-up, roadmap progress, course completion, readiness score, applications, and hires
- One-off analyses requested by the product and content teams
- Checking the results of experiments, such as a new onboarding flow or course format
- Data quality checks, so the numbers in reports can be trusted
- Clear metric definitions, so every team means the same thing when they say "active student" or "placed"
How you will work
You will work directly with the people asking the questions, agree on what they need, and share findings in writing along with the query behind them. Ucanly values being honest about where things stand, so you will be expected to say clearly when the data cannot answer a question.

What you'll be doing
- Write SQL queries to answer questions about student engagement, course completion, and job outcomes
- Build and maintain dashboards covering the full student journey from sign-up to hire
- Analyse the results of product experiments and report what changed and how confident we can be
- Study how Hire Readiness Scores relate to applications, shortlists, and offers
- Run data quality checks and flag missing or inconsistent data to the engineering team
- Write short, clear summaries of findings with charts and recommended next steps
- Help define and document key metrics so they are calculated the same way everywhere
What we're looking for
- Degree in any field with a strong quantitative component, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science
- Strong SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, and window functions
- Experience building charts or dashboards in a BI tool such as Metabase, Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau
- Basic Python or R for data analysis is a plus
- Understanding of basic statistics such as averages, distributions, and why correlation is not causation
- Ability to explain numbers clearly to people who are not analysts
- Able to work from the Ucanly office in BTM Layout, Bengaluru
