About the role
Ucanly for Education is an AI career platform that helps Indian students and freshers get hired. It brings together structured courses, an AI Mentor, a personalised Career Roadmap, a Hire Readiness Score, an AI Resume Lab, and a jobs and internships portal where recruiters see each candidate's verified readiness next to their resume.
As a Full Stack Developer, you will build features across the whole platform, from the database to the screen. The web platform is built with Next.js and React. A typical feature might be custom application questions on job postings: you would design the data model, write the API, build the recruiter and student screens, and test it end to end.
What you will work on
- Student features: course enrolment, lesson progress, roadmap milestones, and certificates
- The jobs portal: postings, filters, one-click applications, and recruiter views of applicants
- Admin and content tools used by the Ucanly team to manage courses and jobs
- Integrations with third-party services such as payments, video hosting, and email
- Bug fixes and improvements raised by students, recruiters, and the support team
How you will work
Ucanly is a small team with a large surface area. There are no committee approvals: you own your features end to end and move quickly. Before building, you will write a brief note on your approach. Every change goes through code review and tests, and reaches students within days.

What you'll be doing
- Design and build features end to end, including data model, API, and user interface
- Build React and Next.js pages that are responsive, accessible, and fast on mobile networks
- Write backend endpoints with validation, error handling, and tests
- Build and improve the jobs portal for both students and recruiters
- Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, video platforms, and email providers
- Review pull requests from other developers and respond to review feedback on your own
- Monitor features after release and fix issues quickly when they come up
What we're looking for
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript on both frontend and backend
- Experience building with React and one backend framework such as Express, NestJS, Django, or Spring Boot
- Comfort writing SQL and working with a relational database
- At least one full stack project you can walk through in detail, including how it was deployed
- Familiarity with Git and pull-request based workflows
- Able to work from the Ucanly office in BTM Layout, Bengaluru
